The Goal: To continuously measure the minimum remaining cover thickness in  steel cord belt while in normal operation. 

The Outcome: The RCT Alpha-PLUS is a non-contact, device capable of continuously gathering true cover thickness, belt tracking and position information while the conveyor is running in normal production.

Application

Scanner for measuring true remaining cover thickness of a steel cord conveyor belt.

Deployment

Installation usually carried out by site personnel with the guidance of a Beltscan Systems product specialist.​

The Active head is typically located above a major pulley not in the product stream (usually the Tail Pulley) and is positioned laterally over the thinnest point in the belt profile.​

Maintenance

The RCT Alpha equipment is relatively maintenance free, with sensors self cleaning when system is powered.​
