Our
History
Since 1979, Beltscan has been helping belt conveyor owners maximise the safe working life of their assets.
Barry Brown, our late Founder and Chairman, was the first person in the world to offer commercial conveyor belt monitoring. Since its inception, Beltscan has delivered the most sophisticated and widely accepted products and services for monitoring the condition and protection of all types of conveyor belting.
In the early 2000s, Beltscan focused on the development of the next generation of conveyor belt monitoring and protection technologies. This innovation built on tried and true techniques, but delivered elements that were missing from other products in the market, all whilst eliminating a large number of unwanted drawbacks.
Today, we offer the Belt Guard range - a holistic family of instruments, which provides the belt conveyor operator with the information and protection necessary for maximum safe working life.
Our
Technology
Beltscan Systems is proud to develop and produce the 'Belt Guard' family of instruments. Each member of the family is designed to work with and compliment the other, whilst also being able to operate optimally on their own.
The Belt Guard family delivers a potent, holistic information and protection solution to asset management of steel cord and fabric conveyor belting. Our technology represents the world's best practice online condition monitoring and protection systems.
The range consists of three categories:
- Rip Detection
- Condition Monitoring
- Cover Thickness
Within each category are two products, with a spread of fixed, portable, non-contact and online technology to provide a solution that works specifically for you.
The systems can provide;
- Longitudinal belt rip detection for both steel cord and fabric re-enforced belting.
- Belt wander information for all conveyors.
- Steel cord belt carcass and splice condition monitoring information, and
- Steel cord belt on-line and static remaining cover thickness measurement.
